Unfortunately, the proposal was called "unattainable" by many automakers. Fuel efficient vehicles are in demand these days and car manufacturers like Ford Motor Co. are scrambling to provide their customers with what they are looking for. Recently, the Dearborn, Michigan-based, gas regulator, automaker announced together with Southern California Edison that they will be partnering to clear the way for the future of future plug-in electric cars.According to reports, Ford's Chief Executive Officer Alan Mulally will be meeting with, gas regulator, Edison International's Chief Executive Officer John Bryson. The meeting is scheduled to take place at Edison International's head office in Rosemead, California. The meeting was announced by both companies.The head of the two companies will announce a joint venture that would mark the first time that an automaker and a major utility company will be working together in the development of plug-in hybrid technology. This tie-up between, gas regulator, the two companies is seen as a huge step forward in the fight against the increasing threat of global warming.Information is scant following the announcement by the two companies. But experts in the auto industry are, gas regulator, expecting that the two companies will be developing a plug-in hybrid vehicle. Such vehicles have two-fold importance. It looks as if there will be newer cars coming out soon which have a 42 volt electrical system. Actually it will be a 36-volt electrical system with three 12-volt batteries in series. The good part is that it will create lower emissions because power steering pumps and air conditioning units can be mechanical in the future.The bad part for us is if the electrical system has a short to the frame you could be electrified like a hot dog while washing. Some car washes are a little concerned that their employees might get fried, although if you look at some of the carwash labor these days you might assume their brains already are; remember the commercials; "this, gas regulator, is your brain on drugs?" But seriously that could be a real bummer being electrocuted for a crime you never committed? Simply drying off a car extra good for a tip and "ZZZZZap!" Perhaps some carwashes may send vehicles with faulty system 42-volt systems to their competitors? And you thought your industry was competitively charged. Boy, gas, gas regulator, regulator, will they be fried, talk about EMP wars.The reason, gas regulator, they call it a 42-volt system is that it would be the same as a 12-volt system which is always charging at 14 volts so 14 X 3 =42. I could just see OSHA adding such language to its already 44 stories think operating laws. Think about 44 stories of paper stacked on top of each other one by one;, gas regulator, full of laws governing employment, gotta love bureaucracy? And you know OSHA employees love that job security.It appears with all the scare and concern that 42-volt electrical systems are safe and will do wonders for your gas mileage and are perfect for the new hydrogen powered cars. At present 95 and 99 percent of regulated emissions are currently dealt with by Volvo's emission control and about 95% of soot particles in diesel exhaust gases are eliminated by modern particulate filters. In fact in some traffic environments, the exhaust gases from Volvo's cleanest engines are cleaner than the surrounding air. Amazing!Volvo also takes the lead when it comes to developing concept cars since it gives them the opportunity to evaluate various technologies, gas regulator, and strategies. One good example of Volvo's concept cars is the 3CC which is a car powered by an electric motor and represents what future cars will look like. Checking Tire Pressure at Your Quick Oil and Lube Facility

Why our team checks tire pressure for our customersHow far along has tire, gas regulator, pressure monitoring come recently? Well it is making significant strides in the transportation industries for a variety of reasons; reducing, gas regulator, fuel costs, safety and insurance savings, regulations stemming from the Firestone Affair in the SUV market and lobbying from consumer groups. The DOT has looked into these issues for passenger cars and the Tire Industry has had mixed emotions for a reason, often stating that the best thing to do is to educate consumers about tire pressure. A recent survey during, gas regulator, Car Care Aware Week showed that 54% of all cars had one or more tires, which were low on air, thus causing excessive wear, stability issues and poor fuel efficiencies, gas regulator, . This was an interesting case in fact. It would behoove those in the car care industry to check tires as a courtesy for customers. Jiffy Lube and other companies do this already as part of a multi-point check list. We believe that soon all over the road trucks will have some sort of low-pressure indicator either inside the cab or out side. Some already have sensors, which light up on the dash-board and along with GPS navigation which already indicates truck stops and repair stations which have tire shops or Tire chucks with air hoses. Recently we discussed the issues with Large Passenger van rollovers and the NTSB did a huge study showing these vans to be unsafe, yet many of the problems stemmed from low air pressures and poor loading in rear or on top. Once again issues, gas regulator, of tires were the biggest. Under rated tires for the load or under inflated tires during, gas regulator, the trip which contained the accident were a factor in the event itself.
